Origin and manufacturing

We work in small production runs of 3 to 6 units—never more. We receive raw wood in various sections and lengths, which then undergo numerous machining operations to become the parts that will later be assembled into a bath. Each stave goes through more than 10 machining steps. All our baths are assembled in-house, fully plumbed, and prepared for shipment. The filtration unit is also assembled and tested in our workshop.

We use two types of wood. Western Red Cedar, sourced from Western Canada, is 100% FSC-certified. For our baths, we select only the finest wood—clear-grade WRC No. 2—with exclusively quarter-sawn and rift-sawn grain orientation to ensure maximum durability.
Douglas fir comes directly from a sawmill in central France and is PEFC-certified. All our wood is cut and dried in a wood kiln to ensure precision machining and long-term stability.
Western Red Cedar is highly resistant to weather and humid environments. You can leave it untreated or apply a clear oil (saturator) to make it more water-repellent and UV-resistant—but only on the exterior of the bath, never inside.
In a wooden bath, the water never stagnates! There is a natural exchange with the outside—wood breathes. This is the same principle behind wooden barrels for wine. After each draining (every 6 to 8 weeks), the interior only needs a light scrub with a non-foaming disinfectant and a rinse with clean water.

How to use a spa?

A wooden spa can be used every day if you feel like it! We recommend rinsing off in the shower before getting in, as this helps keep the water clean for longer. Depending on your health condition, you should stay in the water for at least 20 minutes to allow your central nervous system to fully relax and for your body to benefit from the maximum osmosis with the water.
The ideal temperature for the body to respond is 38°C. Effects start to be felt from 34°C. At this point, your skin’s pores will dilate and blood circulation will increase, which facilitates the absorption of the beneficial elements in the water—such as natural wood essential oils—into your system.

Spa dimensions

Our baths come in standard exterior diameters of 1.20 m, 1.50 m, 1.80 m, 2.10 m, and 2.40 m for the largest. The standard interior height is 1.1 m, though we can make them lower if needed. The water level sits approximately 15 cm below the rim. The benches are mounted on fully machined solid wood brackets fixed to the wall and positioned 45 cm from the bottom of the bath—just like a standard chair height. Our staves are 40 mm thick and curved for enhanced aesthetics, better watertightness, and greater comfort.

Bath installation

Ensure easy access to the bath’s final location, making sure no obstacles block delivery. Check that doorways are wide enough to allow the passage of the fully assembled bath—or its parts if delivered disassembled. Also make sure that the structure can support the weight of the filled bath with people inside—water is the heaviest part. A 15 cm thick concrete slab capable of supporting 800 kg/m² is strongly recommended. For baths recessed into a wooden deck, make sure there is proper air circulation and drainage in the pit in case of heavy rain.

Electrical connection

The bath must be connected via a direct power cable running from the electrical panel to the filtration unit’s control box, protected upstream by a 30mA residual current circuit breaker and a 32A individual breaker. Under no circumstances should a bath be plugged into a standard outlet!
Use an RO2V cable with a cross-section of 3×6 mm² for single-phase or 5×6 mm² for three-phase. The standard bath has a maximum electrical power of 3,700 watts. Allow for 1 meter of slack at the location of the filtration unit. You will connect the control box to this cable. The electrical connection must be done in single-phase or three-phase by a qualified electrician or competent professional.

Filling and drainage

A public water supply tap should be located nearby, as filling is done with a garden hose.
You’ll also need a drainage solution—either into the wastewater system or into rainwater drainage. The latter is acceptable only if no strong chemical products are used for water treatment. The bath can be emptied using a utility pump and a hose.
The lifespan of the bath is around fifteen years with no issues, provided it is regularly cleaned, properly maintained, and used. The wood must be able to breathe and must never be in direct contact with the ground.
Our baths include several components:
• 304L stainless steel bands made in France: 10-year warranty
• All woodwork: 5-year warranty against structural and manufacturing defects
• Electrical components: 2-year warranty (manufacturer)
• Insulated cover: 1-year warranty (manufacturer)

Delivery time

Delivery time depends on our current stock levels and production schedule. We do our best to keep items in stock, but occasional shortages may occur. Generally, if an item is out of stock, the lead time is 4 to 6 weeks. If the product is available in our warehouse, delivery usually takes between 1 and 6 weeks, depending on scheduling.
If you’re located far away and would like assembly service, please contact us—we have a network of resellers and installers throughout France and abroad.
For orders, a 30% deposit is required to confirm your purchase, with the remaining balance due before shipment if the bath is being delivered. In the case of an installation service, the balance is due after setup and commissioning.
